Wildlife Trust of Bangladesh (WTB) will conduct survey both on local people residing near Sundarbans to find out their knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) towards tigers and the mangrove forests. WTB will conduct both qualitative and quantitative data among the people of six major groups--forest resource users, opinion leaders, women, youths, businessmen and field staff of the forest department. The survey will be conducted at the villagers of Mirganj of Sarkhira, Kalabogi of Khulna, Sharankhola of Sharankhola and Chandpai of Chandpai, says a press release. Chief Executive Officer of WTB Prof Md Anwarul Islam hoped that the result of the survey will help them find out their gaps with earlier workshops' information about the matter. “We will fix and finalise our baseline data for using them in our future communication programmes accordingly,” he added.
