The government plans introduction of a one-stop service centre at Jessore education board under Access to Information (A2I) to provide teachers and students with digital services. This was told at a view exchange meeting in the conference room of Jessore education board here yesterday. A2I Project Director Nazrul Islam Khan addressed the meeting as the chief guest. Field Administrator and Deputy Director of the prime minister's office (PMO) Mustafizur Rahman gave a briefing about the ongoing activities under A2I programme. Education board Chairman Abul Bashar, Deputy Commissioner M Nurul Amin, Principal of Jessore Training College Prof Amirul Alam, education board Secretary Prof Kamrul Huda, Controller of examination Prof Rabiul Islam and college Inspector Ohidul Alam addressed the function. Khan said teachers and students would not have to go to different departments of the education board once the one-stop service is introduced as the students or teachers would be able to collect their required information from the education board by Short Messaging Service (SMS) or email. Referring to the Union Information Centre, which is going to be launched from November 11, the A2I PD said students and teachers would get the benefit of it first.
