Meet to ensure fair war crimes trial
Sectors Commanders' Forum (SCF) held a view exchange meeting with prosecution and investigation teams of International Crimes Tribunal yesterday to discuss over ensuring a proper, transparent and internationally accepted war crimes trial.
SCF General Secretary Lt Col (retd) Harun-or-Rashid briefed the press about objectives of the meeting held at Liberation War Museum in the city.
He said, ''Both the prosecution and investigation team of the tribunal are satisfied with the work so far completed. We might see one or two cases in the court soon.''
''It is not possible to say anything specifically right away for the sake of greater interest. You can see specific development in this regard before December 16 this year,'' Jeyad Al Malum, prosecutor (administration), said after the meeting.
