Burnt Drutojan resumes journey today
Drutojan express, an intercity train of Dhaka-Dinajpur route, is going to start its journey today after a suspension of 11-day due to an accident at Soidabad in Sirajganj.
The train's 11 compartments including the engine and the power car were burnt by the agitators of Sirajganj after it crashed six people in a BNP rally on October 11.
The train will start its journey at 8:20am from Dinajpur Railway Station for Dhaka, said Md Anwarul Islam, assistant stationmaster of Dinajpur.
Md Abdul Karim, stationmaster of Parbatipur Railway Junction, said the train would ply with 10 compartments including a power car but the canteen couch could not be arranged.
Canteen couch will be added on Saturday, said Karim.
