Shifting of Campus
Pvt varsities get 7 days to give opinion
The private universities have been given a final notice asking for their opinion about shifting to their own campuses.
Earlier, the education ministry asked them twice about the issue but the universities ignored it.
The education ministry issued the letter to the Association of Private University of Bangladesh (APUB) on Thursday asking to inform it about the time the universities require to shift to their own campuses, said Ranjit Kumar Sen, deputy secretary of the ministry. The universities are given seven days to reply on receipt of the letter.
If the universities do not respond to the letter within the given period, it will be considered that they have no opinion on the issue, ministry sources said. The government would take steps accordingly.
