Kali Puja tonight
The Hindus will celebrate the Dipabali and Shyma Puja (Kali Puja) tonight across the country with festivities and traditional rituals.
The devotees will offer flowers and food and special prayers, sing hymns, and lit candles for the eternal peace of the departed souls. Houses will be decorated with lights, and greetings will be exchanged.
The puja will be celebrated at over 200 venues in the city, said Nirmol Chatterjee, joint secretary of Mohanagar Sarbojonin Puja Committee.
