Man killed in city road crash

A man was killed and another one injured after a passenger vehicle hit their rickshaw van at Mirpur in the city yesterday evening. Ilias, 23, the rickshaw van puller, was declared dead after he was shifted from a local clinic to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). With injury, Shamim, 20, a sales representative, was under treatment at DMCH. Police said the vehicle called maxi of Bhasantek-Gabtoli route rammed the rickshaw van in front of BRTA office at Mirpur 13 around 6:00pm.
