Four 'jhut' warehouses gutted in fire

At least four tin-shed warehouses containing jhut (garment waste) were gutted in a fire at Mirpur in the city last night. Two units of fire brigade with the help of local people doused the flames after one and a half hours' effort around midnight. Fire brigade officials suspect the fire originated from a burning cigarette stub. No casualty was reported though severe panic spread among locals.
