Road crashes kill 2 in city

A homeopath and a youth were killed in two separate road accidents in the city yesterday. Homeopath Mahbubul Haque Talukder Imon, 35, was hit by a city bus Bengal Paribahan at city's Mirpur 10 roundabout around 10:00am. Locals rushed critically injured Mahbubul to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead. Mahbubul's brother-in-law Tofazzal Hossain said Mahbubul was coming home at East Kazipara of Kafrul from Gabtoli. Meanwhile, a youth died on the spot when a bus hit him while he was crossing a road at city's Shamoli area. Police said a bus hit Babul, 26, a resident of Gaibandha and a driver of ACME Company, while on his way to office around 5:30am. Police sent the body to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
