'Finish Udichi murder case trial'

Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigosthi yesterday demanded immediate competition of the trial of the Jessore Udichi murder case filed over killing of 10 people in 1999. Its other demands include drop of the phrase "Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim" and repeal of Islam as the state religion from the constitution. Udichi leaders made the demands at its advisory committee meeting held at city's Mukti Bhaban. Udichi President Golam Mohammad Idu chaired the meeting. Dhaka University Vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique, journalist Fayez Ahmed, Dr Rangalal Sen, and Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president Nasir Uddin Yusuf, among others, attended the meeting.
