RU teacher humiliated by girlfriend
A teacher of Rajshahi University (RU) was assaulted yesterday on the campus by his girlfriend as he ditched her to marry another woman.
The girl, who is a student of Pabna Edward University College, slapped the teacher before his students, guards, law enforcers, and others.
The girl said the teacher had a six-year love affair with her and promised to marry her once he was appointed as a lecturer.
After his appointment as a teacher of chemistry department in 2010, he married another girl, she said.
Contacted, the teacher confessed their relationship and said the he sometimes contacted the girl over mobile phone.
He also said the relationship was not so deep as to marry her.
