Over 50 injured in clash
More than 50 people were injured in a clash between inhabitants of village Satauk in Habiganj and Daulatpour village in Brahmanbaria at Satauk of Lakhai upazila in Habiganj yesterday.
Of the inured, 12 people were admitted to Madhabpur and Nasirnagar Health Complexes while others took first aid.
Locals said the villagers locked into the clash over a trifling matter for two hours. Both the groups used locally made weapons including sticks and spears, they added.
Later, police went to the spot and fired three gunshots in the air to bring the situation under control.
