Two Shibir men fined
A mobile court fined two Islami Chhatra Shibir activists Tk 3,000 for violating electoral code at Goalkandi union of Bagmara upazila yesterday.
Police arrested the two -- Shariful Islam and Hussain Ali -- while they were campaigning for chairman candidate Abdul Mazid of Jamaat-e-Islami and distributing obscene leaflets against another chairman candidate Alamgir Hossain.
Later, the mobile court led by Bagmara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Yusuf Mohammad Rezaur Rahman handed down the verdict.
