SSC, Equivalent Exams Result Re-checking
2,480 students get fresh results
A total of 2,480 students who applied for re-checking their answer sheets of SSC and its equivalent examinations got fresh result yesterday.
Of the 2,480, some 494 scored the highest GPA-5 (grade point average). With this number, the number of GPA-5 in this year's SSC and equivalent exams stood at 77,243.
After the publication of the SSC results, the education boards received a record number of applications-- 74,505 for re-checking the answer sheets thanks to easy way of application. All the application process was done by Short Messaging Service (SMS).
Earlier, students who either failed or did not achieve desired results had to apply for the re-checking by going to the respective board, filling in application forms and depositing the desired money in a bank.
The education boards re-scrutinised the answer sheets and gave 2,480 new results, said board officials.
Around 13.07 lakh students from 26,225 institutions appeared in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations and of them, 10.75 lakh passed. Some 76, 749 students under 10 education boards got GPA-5 while some 2,31,269 examinees failed.
In Dhaka Board, some 272 students got their new results. Of them, 50 got GPA-5. In Jessore Board, 255 students got the result with 105 scoring GPA-5.
Some 105 students in Chittagong Board received their result. Of them, 10 students achieved the highest grade. In Rajshahi Board, 992 got their result with 206 of them got the distinction.
In Comilla Board, 46 students received their new result with 20 GPA-5 scorers. In Dinajpur, 46 got their result and 20 of them achieved the GAP-5. In Sylhet, 34 received the result and 14 scored the highest grade.
Madrasa Board published results of 128 students with 44 getting GPA-5. In Technical Board, 533 received the result and 28 of them got the distinction.
