Rescued deer released in forest
The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) released the barking deer (Maya Horeen), which was rescued June 8, into the nearby forest of Shahjalal Hall yesterday.
The deer was given primary treatment at Hathazari veterinary hospital upon rescue as it suffered injuries after being locked in the collapsible gate of Shah Amanat Hall.
CU's zoology department with personal supervision by Prof Farid Ahsan took care of the deer for the last few days.
