Boy dies in wall collapse
A 6-year-old boy died after a boundary wall collapsed on him while he was walking beside it at Asker Dighi Par under Kotwali Police Station in Chittagong yesterday.
Md Sani, son of Md Osman and Alifa Khatun of Nasir Colony of Askar Dighi Par, was declared dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Locals said Sani was walking on the road with his companions in front of his house beside Standard Chartered Bank Housing Society.
Mission Development Ltd, a concern of Mission Group, is constructing a high-rise of the inside the society and heaped up construction materials alongside the boundary wall.
Heavy loads of the materials made the wall vulnerable, leading a portion to collapse.
