Three killed in road crashes

Three people were killed and 30 others injured in separate road accidents in Satkhira and Mymensingh yesterday. Our Satkhira correspondent reports: Two people including an old man were killed in separate road accidents in the district yesterday. The deceased were identified as Bulu Gazi, 60, son of Anis Uddin Gazi, of village Boalia in Kalaroa upazila and Al Amin, 14, son of Zakir Hossain, of village Bularati in Sadar upazila. Police said Bulu Gazi was killed as a trolley hit his bicycle from behind at village Panchpota in Kalaroa upazila. In another accident, Al Amin was killed as a trolley crushed him on Satkhira-Kaliganj road at Puspakathi. Our Mymensingh correspondent says: One man was killed and 30 others were injured when a Mymensingh-bound bus skidded off and fell into a roadside ditch at Kashimpur in Sadar upazila yesterday. The deceased is identified as Abdul Jabber, 50, of village Nimtali of Sadar upazila. The injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
