Indian army chief due June 19
Chief of Army Staff of India General VK Singh will pay a five-day official visit to Bangladesh from June 19 to 23.
He will call on President Zillur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and meet senior officers of Bangladesh Armed Forces, said a press release of Indian High Commission in Dhaka yesterday.
A five-member delegation will accompany General Singh and his wife Bharti Singh.
General Singh fought for the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 in Feni, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar as a 2nd Lieutenant.
