Mohammad Nurul Karim passes away
Mohammad Nurul Karim, father of Elita Karim, singer and editor of The Daily Star's weekly Star Campus, passed away at a city hospital last night at the age of 60.
He left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of friends, relatives and well-wishers.
A teacher by profession, Mohammad Nurul Karim was a lecturer of English for 35 years at home and abroad.
He was admitted to the Heart Foundation Hospital in the city one month ago. His condition deteriorated last night and he breathed his last around 11:20pm.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Baridhara DOHS in the city this morning and later will be laid to rest at Hathazari Madrasa graveyard in Chittagong after the second namaz-e-janaza.
