Youth hacked to death
Criminals hacked a youth to death at Chakchatiani village in Sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased is identified as Md Raj Hossain, 20, a hosiery factory worker, son of Md Abdur Razzak, of village Char Sadhupara in the upazila.
Police said unknown criminals chopped him mercilessly near a graveyard on his way to ChakChatiani at about 6:30pm.
He was rushed to Pabna Medical College Hospital in critical condition where doctors declared him dead.
The criminals might have killed him over past enmity, Md Enayet Uddin, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, told The Daily Star.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
