UP polls: 26 jailed for seven days
Mobile court yesterday sentenced 26 people to prison for seven days for trying to influence voting in Bolipara union parishad scheduled for today.
The law enforcers who held them said all young men they came from Bandarban town and adjacent areas to manage votes for their favourite candidates in the election.
It was suspected that the young men from outside were hired by some candidates.
