Businessman sent to jail
A businessman and another person were sent to jail on Sunday on charge of misappropriating Tk 36.51 lakh from a textile mill.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Asaduzzaman Nur ordered to send
Lt Col (Retd) Abdul Nur Khan, a businessman, and ASM Nazrul Alam to jail rejecting their bail prayer. Nur Khan and Nazrul surrendered to the court along with their lawyers and sought bail.
Habibur Rahman, assistant manager (administration) of Alhaj Karim Textile Ltd, filed the case last year.
