'Higher edn quality not well'
The vice-chancellor of Chittagong University yesterday said the quality of higher education in the country is not satisfactory and suggested attachment to modern science and technology as the only alternative for quality development.
Prof Md Anwarul Azim Arif made the remark while addressing the closing ceremony of "Training on scientific instruments programme" under Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), CP-162 at the conference room of Biological Science Faculty.
The VC also stressed the need for participation in the programme for becoming professionally skilled. He later distributed certificates to 21 students and 28 lab attendants who participated in the programme.
Prof Dr Nurol Anwar, sub-project manager of HEQEP, CP-162 and dean of the faculty, presided over the closing ceremony of the training programme that started on June 11.
