Ctg transport strike from June 26
Transport owners and workers association of greater Chittagong called uninterrupted transport strike in the district from June 26 to press home twelve point demands, including reducing price of motor parts and exclusion of murder case filing prohibition against any road accident.
Leaders of the organisation called a press conference at Chittagong Press Club yesterday to brief their demands, where convener of the organisation Abul Kalam Azad, joint convener Jahur Ahmed, Mohammad Musa and Ali Ahmed were present.
Other demands include establishing separate terminals for all vehicles, steps to cut road accidents as well as deploying high way police to stop robberies, stop corruption and extortion in transport sector etc.
Leaders said if the demand is not met by today, they would go for continuous strike in greater Chittagong from 26 June.
