VoIP equipment seized
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) equipment worth about Tk 15 lakh from Hazi Kamal Manzil of East Nasirabad at Panchlaish in the port city on Saturday night.
Sources said a team of Rab-7 conducted a drive at Kamal Manzil around 10:30pm and seized the equipment in an abandoned condition from a room on 3rd floor of the building.
One Md Nazrul Islam was running the VoIP business illegally, the sources added.
Sensing the presence of Rab personnel, he managed to escape.
