AKM Saiquatul Islam
Alhaj AKM Saiquatul Islam, group chairman of Eastern Group of Companies and sponsor director of Social Islami Bank Ltd, passed away at a city hospital Sunday. He was 89, says a press release. Saiquatul Islam, father of Honorary Consul of Malaysia Dato' AKM Shahidul Islam, breathed his last at 7:10pm. He will be laid to rest at his family graveyard in Ishwardi, Pabna. He left behind his four sons and four daughters.
