One beaten to death in N'ganj
A youth was beaten to death by a gang of local criminals at Pilkuni in Narayanganj yesterday.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Nahid, 23, son of Sattar Mia of Dapa Pilkuni area.
Sattar said a gang of seven to eight criminals led by Khelafat Hossain Raju picked up his son from his home at 8:00pm at gun point. Later, Nahid was beaten to death by the gang in Dapa Bank Colony area of Sadar upazila. Nahid was rushed to Narayanganj Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Later, the aggrieved people set Khelafat's house on fire around 10:00pm. Fire service doused the fire.
Fatulla AL President Saifullah claimed that Nahid was a member of his party.
