Left parties warn of anarchy

Different left parties in separate statements yesterday said the fifteenth amendment to constitution, which was passed in the parliament Thursday, would create anarchy in the country. In the name of interim government, the amendment indeed gives opportunity to the incumbent government to hold election under its supervision, said Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh (RWPB) and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Rob). RWPB leaders said the repeal of caretaker government system does not reflect the opinion of mass people but reveals Awami League government's autocratic manner. Meanwhile, in another statement Jatiya Ganotantrik League welcomed the 15th amendment and greeted the prime minister for "restoring" the '72 constitution.
