Four muggers held with firearms
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four muggers with two firearms and ammunitions from Khejur Bagan area of Farmgate in the city yesterday.
The arrestees are Mohammad Al Amin, 25, Mohammad Kamal Hossain, 26, Amir Ali Pappu, 21, and Moin Uddin Masum, 27.
Rab-10 officials said acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab conducted a raid in front of Islamia Eye Hospital around 11:00am and arrested them while the gang was preparing for mugging.
Rab recovered a foreign revolver, a pistol, 18 bullets and six mobile phones from their possession.
