Three BCL men assaulted
Three activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong University (CU) unit were assaulted by rivals in the university Railway Station area yesterday.
The injured fourth year students Golam Rasul Nishan of public administration department, Rezaul Karim of physics and Golam Rabbani Nobin of chemistry were given first aid at CU medical centre.
Witnesses said the three were attacked while participating in a rally brought out by BCL from the area, hailing its new 19-member partial committee declared on June 25, five years after the previous one's expiry.
