Appeal for help
Sohel Rana, a fourth-year student of the Department of English at Dhaka University, is suffering from kidney disease, says a press release. He is fighting for life as both of his kidneys have been damaged while his condition deteriorates day by day. Son of day labourer Abdus Samad of the city, Sohel is now undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr Ruhul Amin and Prof Harunur Rashid of Kidney Foundation Hospital in the city's Mirpur-2. According to the doctors, he needs a kidney transplant immediately, requiring Tk 30 lakh. But it is not possible for his family to afford such a huge amount of money. His family, friends and classmates makes a fervent appeal to the well-off people of society to come forward and extend their financial support to save his life.
