Journo beaten in Thakurgaon
An upazila correspondent of the Dainik Bangladesh Somoy, Mizanur Rahaman, was severely beaten, as he wanted to realise lending money from one Hitler at Jadurani bazar in Haripur upazila yesterday.
Police said Hitlar beat him as Mizan asked to return Tk 2,000 that he earlier gave him as lend.
Hitler also snatched a camera and Tk 5000 from Mizan's procession, Mizan claimed.
A case was filed with Haripur Police Station in this connection.
President and general secretary of Haripur Press Club condemned the incident and demanded arrest of the offender immediately.
