Next polls under elected govt: Ashraf
The next general election would be held under the elected government, Awami League General Secretary and LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam MP said.
A free, fair and credible election is possible under the elected government and there is no need of caretaker government system for general election, said Syed Ashraf, while addressing a rally at local gymnasium in the district yesterday.
He warned the leaders and activists of AL and its front organisations for not creating rift in the party.
District AL President Motiur Rahman MP presided over the programme while state ministers Promode Mankin, Mujibur Rahman Fakir, Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Whip Mirza Azam, and Dr BM Mozammel Haque addressed.
