4 abductors beaten
Four alleged abductors were beaten by a mob on charge of trying to abduct a trader with Tk 3 lakh from Shamsernagar bazar of Kamalganj upazila yesterday.
They are Nurul Islam 35, Jalal Uddin 30, Ali Hussain 30, and Anis Ali 40.
According to locals, police said the four introduced themselves as Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members to Abdul Ahad, 29, a trader of the Shamsernagar bazar, and took him forcibly with Tk 3 lakh into their microbus. As locals became suspicious watching the incident, people then captured the four and beat mercilessly.
Later, police rescued and admitted them to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries.
