Road crashes kill 3
Three people, including a woman, were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Dinajpur yesterday.
Staff correspondent from Chittagong reports: A rickshaw passenger was killed and a rickshaw driver injured as a recklessly driven truck rammed a rickshaw at BRTC intersection under Kotwali Police Station in the port city yesterday.
The deceased is Jahangir Alam, 50, of the city's Station Road.
The truck could not be identified as the driver fled the scene with his vehicle immediately after the accident.
In another accident, an unidentified passerby was crushed under a truck wheels while he was crossing the highway in Fouzdarhat area of Sitakunda upazila yesterday.
Our Dinajpur correspondent adds: A woman was killed as a three-wheeler hit her while she was crossing the road at Hrishipara village in Chirirbandar upazila yesterday.
The dead is Momotaz 45, wife of Ismail, of the village.
