Rajshahi rail station vandalised
Some students of Rajshahi University (RU) allegedly vandalised Rajshahi Railway Station on Friday night as a train driver did not stop a Rajshahi-bound intercity train at RU Railway Station.
Three students were arrested by railway police and later released after giving an undertaking.
Witnesses said around 25 RU students on board pulled the train's emergency chain to stop at the station.
When it did not, the students got off at Rajshahi Railway Station and vandalised the glasses on the main entrance and nameplates around 11:30pm, they said.
The railway authorities said intercity trains are not supposed to stop at RU station.
