MJF condemns killing of three in Bandarban
Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) has expressed deep concern at the killing of three people in Bandarban who tried to save a girl from being raped at Siletuya Paea village in Lama upazila Saturday (July 30).
In a written statement yesterday, the MJF also expressed condolences to the bereaved family members and condemned the act of violence.
“We demand exemplary punishment of the guilty persons and urge the authorities to take proper steps for the safety of the victim and her family,” read the statement signed by Shaheen Anam, executive director of the MJF.
The MJF also said that if the authorities fail to take proper steps against the culprits immediately, it would create further mistrust and hatred between different communities.
