Khaleda takes Iftar with orphans
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia took Iftar with orphans and alem-olamas (Islamic scholars) on the first day of Ramadan yesterday.
She hosted the Iftar party in honour of them at the city's Ladies Club.
Orphans, including boys and girls, from three orphanages in the capital as well as alem-olama from various areas attended the Iftar party.
A munajat was offered before the Iftar seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and its people.
