Khaleda hosts Iftar for political leaders today
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will host an Iftar party at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the city today in honour of leaders of different political parties.
Presidents and general secretaries of all political parties including ruling Awami League and its key ally Jatiya Party have been invited to attend the programme.
“The chairperson invited the leaders of all political parties. I hope they will attend the programme,” said Maruf Kamal Khan, press secretary to Khaleda.
BNP leaders are expecting a massive response from political leaders, which they believe will reflect Khaleda's latest initiative to bring all parties under a common platform to mount pressure on the government to restore the caretaker government system.
Khaleda, leader of the opposition in parliament, started discussions with political parties regarding restoration of the caretaker government system and is seeking their support in her movement.
