Bird troubled airbus repaired, ready to fly
The Airbus of Biman, which was grounded due to bird trouble on Tuesday morning, now ready to fly for the capital yesterday evening from Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.
Airport manager of the CAAB, Sylhet Abdul Hafiz informed that the engineering team from the capital reached Sylhet on Tuesday afternoon and repaired the aircraft.
The official said tyres of the plane burst as the pilot of the aircraft applied brakes hard to abort the take-off after a bird went into its engine during the take-off run.
Biman's engineering team from the capital completed their job yesterday afternoon, said Biman Station Manager Motahar Hossain.
The flight (BG 001) was cancelled and the 171 passengers, including 4 infants were sent to the capital by 2 other F-28 crafts, brought from the Shahjalalal International Airport.
