PM to host iftar for political leaders today
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today hosts an iftar party in honour to leaders of different political parties and eminent citizens of the country.
The iftar will be organised at her official residence at Gono Bhaban in the city.
“Leaders of all political parties except the anti-liberation war forces and war criminals have been invited in the iftar,” Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif told The Daily Star.
Sheikh Hasina, also the president of the AL earlier invited opposition leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her party's Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Senior leaders of AL, Jatiya Party, Workers Party, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, and other ally parties will attend the iftar.
Earlier, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia organised a similar programme.
