Four alleged pirates detained
Four men were detained by members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (East Zone) along with a boat from the outer anchorage area of Chittagong port yesterday for alleged piracy.
The alleged pirates are Md Nurunnobi, 40, Hejuram Chandra Das, 24, Liton Chandra Das, 24, and Narayan Chandra Das, 20.
On information, a coast guard patrol ship CGS Towhid intercepted the boat around 4:30am, caught the four and handed them over to Patenga Police Staion, says a Bangladesh Coast Guard press release.
