Punishment to pro-BNP lawyers demanded
Bangladeshi expatriates in Austria at a rally yesterday demanded punishment of the pro-BNP-Jamaat lawyers who created chaos in High Court on Tuesday.
The lawyers did it to create instability in the country, they said while addressing the rally organised by Ekatturer Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee (Committee to Eliminate the Killers and Collaborators of 1971) in Vienna, says a press release.
Nirmul Committee President Justice Mohammad Ghulam Rabbani addressed the rally over phone.
“People do not experience such thing in the past 200 years,” he said and urged the expatriates to tell the BNP leaders to refrain from such things and work for the betterment of the country.
Criticising BNP chairperson's derogatory remark on constitution, president of Ekatturer Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee (Vienna) M Nazrul Islam said the remark about the constitution proves that they want to reestablish Pakistan in Bangladesh.
