PM hosts iftar for professionals
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hosted an iftar party at her Gono Bhaban residence yesterday in honour of eminent citizens and people of different professions.
A special prayer was offered for the salvation of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and those who sacrificed their lives for the independence.
Prof Rehman Sobhan, Prof Anisuzzaman, Barrister Rafiq-ul Huq, Syed Shamsul Haque, Dr Nurul Islam, former chief justice ABM Khairul Haque, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, artists Kaium Chowdhury and Shahabuddin are among the attendees.
Editors of different dailies, cultural activists, doctors, lawyers, government ministers and Awami League leaders were also present.
