Man kills himself 'over debt burden'
A businessman allegedly hanged himself at his residence in the city's Adabar yesterday, as, police suspect, "he was suffering depression over a huge debt burden".
Shafiur Rahman Khan Shibli, 38, the deceased, owned a business of garments accessories with a large amount of debt hanging over his head, Adabar police quoted family sources as saying.
Police said they recovered Shafiur's body from his residence around 11:00am.
