Two found dead

Police yesterday recovered two bodies from the city's Kadomtoli and Jatrabari area. Around 4:30pm, police found the decomposed body of a youth, aged around 20, floating on a ditch at Shyampur in Kadamtoli. The body, bore some injury marks, was wrapped with a piece of clothes, said police. Officer-in-Charge Shafiqul Islam of Kadamtoli Police Station said a handbag was found along with the body containing papers with phone numbers of his relatives. Contacted over phone, the relatives identified the youth as Habib, 16. Meanwhile, around 10:00am, the body of a two-year old boy was recovered from beside Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Kutubkhali in Jatrabari, said OC AKM Abul Kashem of Jatrabari Police Station. The body bore some injury marks and police suspect that the minor might have been run over by a vehicle. The identity of the boy could not be known. Police sent the two bodies to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for autopsy.
