Norway's ambassador on Israel
Although his comment received bitter criticism from the pro-Israeli camps but I think the comment made by the Norway's Ambassador to Israel is logical and appropriate in the present context.
The Norway Ambassador in a recent interview suggested that Hamas terrorism against Israel is more justified than the recent terrorist attack against Norway by saying - “We Norwegians consider the occupation to be the cause of the terror against Israel.”
Meanwhile it is gathered from an online news source that Israel in a dramatic policy shift agreed to negotiate the borders of a Palestinian state based on the cease-fire line that marks off the West Bank. It may be mentioned here that US President Barack Obama earlier proposed negotiations based on the pre-1967 line.
In my opinion, both Israel and Palestine should move to resolve their long dispute and Israel should recognize the Palestinian state. Forgetting all the hostilities both Palestine and Israel should start a new era of good neighborly relationship based on mutual trust, peace and friendship.
