Cop suspended for snatching money

A policeman of Fulbari police outpost was suspended yesterday on charge of snatching Tk 8,700 from a poultry trader in the town on Sunday night. ASP Arifur Rahman Mondal said the action was taken against Habildar Tipu Sultan after the allegation was proved. The trader, Jamal Uddin, said four policemen snatched the money from him in Brindabanpara area of the town while he was returning home on Sunday night from his poultry farm. They returned the money to Jamal hours after the incident as police officials were informed of the matter, added the trader.
