Obituary
Birendra Chandra Dev Chowdhury, a zamindar (landlord) of Shalna upazila of Sunamganj, passed away due to old age complexities at his residence on Friday night at the age of 102. He left behind five sons and three daughters to mourn his death, says a press release. Birendra's sraddha (religious rites) would be performed at his Bagbari residence on August 24. Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to join the ceremony and pray for salvation of the departed soul.
