Eye care at city slums stressed
Speakers at a training workshop stressed the need for effective social mobilisation to address eye complicacies in slum areas of the city.
The 3-day workshop titled “Social Mobilization for Eye Care Services” begins at a city hotel yesterday.
Sightsavers and Standard Chartered Bank supported Dhaka Urban Comprehensive Eye Care Project (DUCECP) organised the event, facilitated by Continuing Education Center, said a press release.
Dr Azmol Hossain, Dr Rezaul Haque, Manzurul Islam Chowdhury and Khondakar Mohidul Islam, also spoke at the inaugural session, conducted by M Nurun Nabi.
